Jabez College and Career Group
Mi Mi

The Jabez Group is for all young adults—either in college or working—to learn about The Bible and how it relates to our everyday lives.  In addition to learning about God, we also provide the opportunity to make new friends and form new relationships.

The name “Jabez” was chosen for the group because of The Prayer of Jabez in 1 Chronicles 4:10:

10 He was the one who prayed to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and expand my territory! Please be with me in all that I do, and keep me from all trouble and pain!” And God granted him his request.  New Living Translation

Expanding borders in the world is a part of this time in a young person’s life, and opportunities are also needed to enlarge personal territory in God’s Word to help make those important decisions.  In the years immediately following high school, a tremendous number of important decisions are being made that will affect the rest of your life!   The Jabez Group is designed to help you transition into your new roles in the world.

Class study times are on Sunday morning at 9:40 a.m. (with donuts and coffee) and on Wednesday night at 8:15 p.m. (with snacks beginning about 8:00 p.m.) in our meeting room on the 3rd floor at the end of the hall.

Our motto is “Find Your Spot”, and we feel it is important to find your spot in a group where you find support and can have fun while you learn.
